My brother-in-law and sister are huge football fans so it was no surprise that they requested a football themed party for my nephew’s 3rd birthday. His birthday falls right around the start of football season so they set the date for opening day.

These wonderful football cakes were created by the birthday boys Grammy. One for the party guest and one for my nephew who happens to have an egg allergy.

After many, many, many requests I created another wonderful free 2013 calendar with editable text areas. 2013s version is completely overhauled. Besides adding a yearly overview, the layout orientation changed and there is now a notes section at the bottom of each month. The real kicker though – the weeks begin on Monday. With our family, school/work are Monday through Friday and fun family activities are normally planned Friday night through Sunday. I really liked the idea of keeping the weekdays and the weekends together on one happy little line.
Not only can you add your own text to these beauties you can also change the font, size and color!

Can you believe that Christmas is in two short weeks…eek?!?! I struggled a little bit this year creating the Holiday printables collection. At first I wanted to created a beautiful “Grown-Up” damask print with different tones of red but after making a few items I got stuck:( So I switched gears and went with a fun party set with red, green, pink and blue.
I love bell domes, it’s a great way to dress up your dessert table this year.
What’s a winter party without hot chocolate? I used the cupcake toppers as drink labels for the cups.

Our friendly little elf Chippy came back yesterday and my kids were full of excitement and lots of sugar. They have been asking for the last month when he would return, so they could “have candy for breakfast”. Sorry about the dark photos. As they get older it’s so much harder to be sneak these things in the daylight.
Little Miss Sassy Pants was the first one awake followed closely by the Little Guy (who does not look very little).
Adding to the North Pole Breakfast each kiddie received a new Christmas plate this year – the Santa cup was from 2011’s breakfast.
In their boxes Chippy sent a new ornament, some holiday pencils, coloring book and Christmas socks.
This is probably my favorite moment from the whole morning Without any prompting they both looked up and thanked Chippy for the gifts, how sweet are they? (he was hanging in the light over looking the table).

Our friendly little elf is hard at work preparing for the second annual North Pole Breakfast. My kiddies have been talking about “Chippy” nonstop for the past month, they are so gitty with excitement! I am not exactly sure what he will bring us this year let just say it will have something to do with an Elves four main food groups – Candy, Candy Canes, Candy Corn and Syrup. Last years Holly Jolly Christmas Collection was a big hit especially the sweet North Pole Survival Kits {aka Hot Coco in a Can}.
I have had several requests for a tutorial and have finally distracted my children enough found some time to take pictures and write down the recipe. The red paint canisters were purchased last year (2011) around Christmas time. I had one heck of a time finding them again until a few days ago I spotted those suckers down the dollar aisle at Target and stocked up! It’s a super simple recipe and they make great teacher gifts.
Here is what you will need:
Hot Chocolate Mix
Milk Chocolate Chips
Peppermint Candies
Marshmallows (Regular or Peppermint)
Canister or Glass Jar
Thoroughly wash and dry your canister/glass jar
I made a few different version and noted the recipes below.
Same Recipe as Above: 6 Packets of Hot Chocolate, 1/4 Cup Crushed Peppermint, 1/3 Cup Milk Chocolate Chips and fill the rest with Marshmallows
Mini Mason Jar
2 Packets of Hot Chocolate, 1/8 of a Cup of Milk Chocolate Chips and fill the rest with Marshmallows
Mason Jars
4 Packets of Hot Chocolate, 1/4 Cup Crushed Peppermint, 1/3 Cup Milk Chocolate Chips and fill the rest with Peppermint Marshmallows

Fall is here with it’s spectacular color, golden light and rich aroma. For our family, the season is not complete without a trip to the cider mill and as my daughter says “Mom’s Famous Zucchini Bread”.
I was given this recipe by Jen I., and it is the most amazing zucchini bread I have ever tasted. Every time I make it I get nothing but compliments.
First I separate my wet and dry ingredients as followed (2 tsp Vanilla not pictured)
Using my stand mixer I cream together the sugar and shortening
Next add the water, eggs, zucchini and vanilla (not pictured again)
Add the dry spices to the above mixture, then slowly add in 3-1/3 cups of flour.
Once everything is mixed up it should look something like this.

Happy October everyone! Last week I set up a Cupcake & Cocktails “Wicked” Halloween Party to showcase our new printable Halloween set. At the moment bold stripes are one of my favorite party trends. From the striped straws and cupcake liners to the rugby striped party printables – I love the bold look of the black and white with hint of color.
For the main table setting I used a green plastic table cloth with a black lace overlay and a beautiful candelabra centerpiece. The name plates for each guest were created using our editable food labels.
The flower arrangement is a rectangle glass vase that I covered using the pattern paper that is included in the set and topped if off with some beautiful lace.
These witch hat cupcake toppers are made of mini and standard size cupcake wrappers (tutorial via Half Baked).
Pick your poison at the cocktail station, from wicked wine to witches brew there is something for all my favorite ladies
I set the table using these great black and white striped paper plates I found at a local party store
and gave each of the ladies there very own witchy cupcake in a personalized take home box.
I recently styled my son’s Surfs Up Party to celebrate his 3rd birthday! Originally, we planned on a shark party ~ but I changed it last minute after seeing the adorable Surf Legend Collection at Gymboree. I love the blue, orange & brown color scheme and my friend happen to have a bin full of Hawaiian decorations left over from my Bachelorette Party {let’s just say we could not stop laughing when we opened the storage container;-) }
The surfboard backdrop inspiration came from Holly at Paisley Petal Events. My husband is not much of a handyman so cutting out surfboard shapes from plywood- as simple as it may have been – would be TOTALLY out of the question. Instead I created a mini version using a 20 x 30 photo print, foam board and the Centerpiece Circles (tutorial coming soon!).
I love making the sweets and treats for my little ones parties. This year I made cake pops, chocolate covered Oreos and shark bite donuts. I’m way to OCD to attempt the cupcakes so I left those to the professionals.
My sister stepped in to save the day after I COMPLETELY forgot to pick up the cookies from the bakery…OOPS. She did a great job considering it was an hour or two before the party.
Each little surfer received his/her own bag of goodies. They especially loved the shark snack container filled with Skittles (per the birthday boys request).
For dinner I served chicken kabobs and an assortment of yummy summer salads
The best part of the whole day was watching these two surfer dudes hang ten on the surf boards!
I am still in disbelief that I have a THREE year old and nearly 5 year old:(
I really don’t know where the time has gone but I am trying to enjoy every last second with both of them

This next party come from my super sweet customer that happens to be my neighbor! Stephanie ordered our printable Baseball Collection for her son’s 4th birthday and to my surprise I noticed she lived in the same city. After chatting through email we realized we lived a stone throw from each other. Since then Stephanie and I have worked together a few times and I LOVE the parties she creates!!
I love the “American” feel of the Baseball party and Stephanie did a fantastic job putting everything together.
