Western Cowboy Birthday Party

This fall we celebrated my nephew’s second birthday with a western cowboy party. My sister had a couple different ideas in mind but eventually settled on the theme since he loves his rocking horse and the vintage Red Ryder Horse we have at our house.

Western Cowboy Party

After a little convincing we moved her kitchen table outside and set the dessert table up in front of her shed in the back yard – I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

Western Cowboy Party

Creating a dessert table can be a little tricky when the guest of honor has an egg and peanut allergy. My sister found a wonderful road side stand that sells homemade pies and was able to order them with no egg wash. I made the s’more pops using oversize and regular marshmallow and we put my mom in charge of the haystacks. She substituted the peanut butter for sun-butter {made from sunflower seed} it surprisingly tasted the same.

Graduation Party {Another Happy Customer}

With graduation season right around the corner, now is a great time to introduce our new Graduation Party Printable Set and invitations. Last year my best friend had me design some items for her step daughters High School Graduation Party. The event was held at a family entertainment center that offered fun activities for kids of all ages. She did a wonderful job putting everything together – I especially love the extra large posters with the girls photos displayed so everyone could see.

Glass Milk Bottle Tutorial

I have received so many questions about the milk bottles I used for my nieces Cookies & Milk party.  I want to share this inexpensive and easy tutorial on how to create your own. I am in love with those vintage glass milk bottles, but at roughly $5 a piece the price is a little too steep for my budget (especially when you consider glass bottles and small children are never a good combination). This tutorial will teach you how to turn a simple Starbucks Frappuccino bottle into an over the top dessert table accent.

Glass Milk Bottle Tutorial

What you’ll need:
4 – Starbucks Frappuccino Bottles
1/4 – 1/2 Cup of Chocolate Chips
Sprinkles of your choice

Optional:
Drink Bottle Wrapper
Striped Paper Straw

Glass Milk Bottle Tutorial

Soak empty Frappuccino bottles in warm soapy water for about 10 minutes to remove wrapper.  Clean and dry thoroughly, set a side.

Melted Chocolate

In a small glass dish melt chocolate chips in the microwave, one minute at a time at 50% power, stirring in between. *Helpful hint – Add 1/2 teaspoon of Crisco Shortening to make chocolate shiny and smooth.

Glass Milk Bottle

Place sprinkles in a small dish or plate

Dip the rim of the Frappuccino bottle in melted chocolate, making sure to cover the entire twist off area.

Let the chocolate stand for about a minute then dip the chocolate covered rim in the sprinkles of your choice. (If the chocolate is too hot the sprinkles will just run down the side of the bottle)

Glass Milk Bottle Tutorial

The above steps can be done a couple days in advanced, just make sure you store the bottles in a cool and dry place.

The day of your party add the milk and drink wrapper then top off the bottle with an adorable striped straw.

Malibu Barbie Party {Another Happy Customer}

When I first saw the photos for this amazing party featured on Amy Atlas I literally screamed {thank goodness no one was around, they would have thought I was crazy}.  Holly created this party to celebrate her daughter Madison’s birthday with a “Barbie in a Mermaid Tale” theme party.  She contacted me to customize our Malibu Barbie Collection to incorporate all of Madison’s favorite colors lavender, pink, peach and blue.  The dessert table is absolutely stunning – especially the over the top surf board cut outs that Holly and her husband created.

Paisley Petal Events has quickly become one of my favorite site for party inspirations, thank you so much for letting me share this wonderful party.

Cookies & Milk Party

As I was sifting through all the party photos I have yet to post, I realized that I skipped over my sweet nieces third birthday party – I’m such a bad Aunt. I had been wanting to create a cookies & milk party for some time so when my sister-in-law called me with the “Brookie’s Cookies & Milk” idea I was very excited to get started. She did such a good job putting everything together. From the homemade cake that looked like a giant chocolate chip cookie to the personalized aprons and cookie cutters that each kiddie received. The cookies in a jar gave my brother-in-law and sister-in-law quite the headache…but they did turn out delicious.

Romantic Engagement Party {Another Happy Customer}

This party was sent over from my wonderful friend Mary of ithink.Girl in Brazil. Mary was one of my first customer – she purchased the Airplane Collection for her husbands 30th Birthday party – and did an amazing job. Shortly after she contacted me to create a custom design for her good friends Tais & Renato Engagement Party. There is so many wonderful elements of this party, but I have to say the dessert spread is simply stunning.

I love how they used the cupcake toppers to create a tree full of well wishes for the bride and groom to be. Centerpiece circles and cupcake toppers were strung to create a beautiful garland of decoration.
